Groin Injury with Red Glow on Area Series

Athletes can suffer an injury that takes a long time to diagnose but can’t seriously hamper their performance and even their ability to play.  Known as a Sports Hernia, this type of injury isn’t well-known but has gotten some attention recently due to a pro football player names Odell Beckham, Jr.   In this episode Dr. Nedd will cover:

  • What a sports hernia is and why it isn’t a typical hernia.
  • How someone gets a sports hernia and the symptoms that accompany it.
  • When surgery is required and when a more conservative approach can be taken.
  • The best ways to prevent a sports hernia.
