Let’s be honest, psychotic behavior is scary.  In part because we don’t understand it and in part because it’s unpredictable.  The answer many years ago was what would be considered cruel and unusual punishment today.  Now we have more humane treatments with modern anti-psychotic drugs.  Or do we?  In this episode Dr. Nedd will discuss:

  • What psychosis is.
  • What the older anti-psychotics did and what the new ones do.
  • The horrific serious side effects from these drugs that are much more common than you would think.  Very high percentages.
  • The Andrea Yates case – drowning her 5 small children – and how anti-psychotics played a key role in that.
